Clenziderm MD is a complete acne treatment specifically formulated for normal to oily skin to help treat acne where it starts. It contain prescription strength ingredients and can therefore only be purchased through a medical provider or med spa.

Adult Acne is also treated effectively with this system.

The CLENZIderm M.D. System includes 3 products for use in the morning and evening to help clear up your acne and prevent future breakouts.

Here’s how it works

P. acnes—the bacteria that causes acne— flourishes deep in the pores, making it difficult to reach. CLENZIderm M.D. with 5% benzoyl peroxide (BPO) is uniquely formulated to target acne at the source.

Daily Care Foaming Cleanser (2% salicylic acid)

A light, foaming acne cleanser with 2% salicylic acid and cooling menthol to wash away impurities, leaving skin feeling clean and refreshed.

Dispense a nickel-size amount of cleanser and massage over your entire face using warm waterRinse skin thoroughly and pat dryWait 10 to 15 minutes to allow your skin to dry completely before applying other productsBecause this product may dry your skin, start with 1 cleansing daily, then gradually increase to 2 or 3 times daily if needed or as directed by your doctorIf dryness or peeling becomes excessive or bothersome, reduce cleansing to once a day or every other day

Pore Therapy (2% salicylic acid)

Refreshing treatment that unclogs and refines pores and clears away dead skin cells with 2% salicylic acid, for the treatment of acne.

Shake the bottle well before dispensing. After cleansing, place a cotton ball or pad over the pump well and pump 2 to 3 times to saturate, then cover the entire affected area with a thin layer 1 to 3 times daily. Because this product may dry your skin, start with 1 application daily, then gradually increase to 2 or 3 times daily if needed or as directed by your doctor. Allow the product to air-dry completely; do not rinse off. If dryness or peeling becomes excessive or bothersome, reduce application to once a day or every other day.

Therapeutic Lotion (5% BPO)

Lightweight lotion with 5% BPO uniquely formulated to deliver medication deep within the pores, where acne starts.

After cleansing and applying Pore Therapy, cover the entire affected area with a thin layer 1 to 3 times daily. Because this product may dry your skin, start with 1 application daily, then gradually increase to 2 or 3 times daily if needed or as directed by your doctor. If dryness or peeling becomes excessive or bothersome, reduce application to once a day or every other day. Wash your hands thoroughly after application, as this product may bleach hair and dyed fabrics. Avoid unnecessary sun exposure; if going outside, apply a sunscreen after using this product

If your skin gets too dry during treatment, we recommend Therapeutic Moisturizer, a glycerin-rich, non-comedogenic moisturizer that keeps skin hydrated and protected during treatment.

For spot treatment, I recommend Tretinoin (Retin-A)

The cost for the kit is around $150 and it will last you 3-4 months, so comparable with lot of the over the counter options, but much more effective.
