So Comfortable That Your Guests Will Never Leave - A Bathroom Renovation!

Updated: Sep 1, 2019

This is our newly renovated guest bathroom. Think it turned out very nicely! Below is the before picture!

Big difference, right?

This is a long narrow room and the existing vanity is longer than standard size vanities. Therefor, we decided to keep it.

As in many older homes, the counter height was a bit on the low end. We added some legs, which we bought at #homedepot and used sink bowls instead to give it more height. The sink bowls and chrome faucets we found on #amazon.

The legs meant we had to add tiles underneath the vanity too, but it was worth the extra cost, as it gives it a nice elegant look.

We painted the vanity white and kept the excisting chrome knobs!

The countertop was replaced with beautiful black granite with sparks of silver! #celticmarble

We kept the mirrors, but framed them with black painted wood and added new light fixtures.

For the floor tiles we chose a mat black hexagon tile for a classic and timeless look. We chose to do dark grout instead of white as it makes it less busy in a small room!

Guests usually do not take baths when visiting, they take showers! Old bathtub cabin was removed and we created a nice shower stall instead. The elegant glass shower doors are from #homedepot as well and was quite expensive, but a must for the space, I think! Nothing worse than a shower curtain sticking to your skin!

NOT!!!!

Here is the before picture of bathtub!

In the shower we used a shiny white subway tile and a smaller mat black hexagon tile for the box. Cute, right?

Here is the rest of the space!

That pretty much complete the guest bathroom. This bathroom is shared by two Guest Bedrooms, in which we still have some work to do, but here is a taste!
